Do I need to be fit?

We're not expecting everyone to be a budding Bradley Wiggins and by no means do you need to be a super athletic cyclist, but you will need a reasonable level of fitness to take part and complete the course. There are a few challenging hills but nothing too daunting!

Will the route be easy to follow?

The course will be fully signposted and there will also be marshalls helping out on the day to make sure your know where to go. You'll also be provided with a route map and description at the start.

Is it a race?

It's not a race at all - it's not designed to be a competitive event but a sportive which has a fairly relaxed approach to it - take your time and enjoy! There will be 'luxury' refreshment stops en route in the pubs, where you can fill up on complimentary refreshments and snacks, relax and make the most of the rest points!

What if I have a puncture or mechanical problem?

There will be an opportunity to purchase bike repair kits, spare inner tubes, pumps and other bits at the start from Lovelo Cycles. They will also be on hand along the course to help out riders in need of a mechanical quick fix!
